2009 Springfield Preservation Awards

 

Join SPT to honor the people and organizations that are helping preserve historic structures in Springfield. The awards ceremony will be held on June 17th 5:00PM at Tower Square, Springfield. Light refreshments will be served. To view last years awards click here.

 

The Springfield Preservation Trust is the only non-profit, non-governmental

organization dedicated to historic preservation in Springfield, Massachusetts.

 

Since 1972, the Trust’s activities have included:

 

Advocating for the creation of Historic Districts in the city

Fighting the demolition of historically significant buildings within Springfield

Publishing walking guides to some Springfield’s historic neighborhoods and architecture

Organizing tours of historic homes and gardens to broaden public awareness of Springfield’s historic treasures

Sponsoring lectures and tours related to historic preservation and home ownership

Restoring Historic homes in the city
